Women entrepreneurs in Mexico face many gendered barriers, lacking the confidence, access to capital, skills and networks to take their small businesses to the next level. However, if women and men participated equally in the economy, by 2025 GDP in Mexico would increase by 43%.
Our Road to Growth programme helps break these barriers. Adaptable and scalable for different countries and contexts, it supports women entrepreneurs through an intensive six-week learning course, empowering them to take their small businesses to the next level.
Road to Growth is made possible thanks to our partners ExxonMobil Foundation. Together with Mexico City business school Bedu, over two years we were able to support 680 Mexican women, like Lubet, to build their skills and grow their businesses.
We call upon companies, business leaders and philanthropists to support us to continue tackling the global gender gap by empowering thousands of women with the skills, resources and networks they need to participate equally as entrepreneurs. Together, we can help more women like Lubet to achieve their ambitions, support their families and communities, and contribute to their economies.
