We’re seeking a creative and ambitious professional to support us in significantly scaling our income generation and partnership development, and building our profile.

About the role

The Director of Fundraising and Communications will play a pivotal role to in delivering our Ready for Business strategy and achieving our ambitious goal of supporting one million women entrepreneurs by 2030. The position will be responsible for the Programme Funding, Philanthropy, and Communications and Marketing teams, and will lead on a new income generation strategy to drive fundraising activities across philanthropy donors, family offices, corporates, foundations and institutional funding. The role also sits on the charity’s senior leadership team.

Alongside fundraising, this is a hands-on position where the successful candidate will have oversight of all aspects of communications including marketing, brand identity and reputation, crisis communications, thought-leadership development and audience analysis.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communications skills, alongside significant multi-income stream experience, leading a fundraising directorate in a not-for-profit organisation. They will have a track record in developing and delivering fundraising strategies to enable long-term sustainable income growth. They will also have significant experience of developing fundraising communities of high-net-worth individuals and personally stewarding very high-profile relationships, as well as in building and sustaining impactful partnerships.  An understanding of programmatic work and preparing restricted funding proposals for programme delivery would be an advantage.
