Road to Growth in Kenya

Our seven-week intensive Road to Growth programme has run in Kenya since Autumn 2021 with the support of our partners.

With the support of our partners, DHL Express and Sinapis, our seven-week intensive business training programme Road to Growth has run in Kenya since late 2021, now in its second round.

Road to Growth is one of the Foundation’s three flagship programmes. The seven-week intensive business management and investment readiness programme uses a unique, custom-built online learning tool. This programme also presents the women who participate with networking opportunities within the group, which, as we know from other women entrepreneurs who have taken part in Road to Growth, serves as a highly successful professional and personal support system.

200 women entrepreneurs were selected to participate in our first Road to Growth programme in Kenya, which took place completely online. From spring 2022, around 200 more women in Kenya are taking part in the second delivery of Road to Growth in Kenya.

Why are we bringing Road to Growth to Kenya?

2030 year by which Kenya aims to become a middle income nation

9% number of medium-sized enterprises currently women-owned in Kenya

$100 billion amount sub-Saharan African economies lose every year because of the labour market gender gap

Road to Growth: an intensive business management and investment readiness programme

Road to Growth is one of the Foundation's three flagship programmes, which also include HerVenture and the Mentoring Women in Business programme. The programme is delivered over seven weeks, covering a new topic every week. Road to Growth is currently delivered in Nigeria, Kenya and Guyana.
