With events cancelled, services terminated, travel forbidden, new ways of working fast-tracking us into a digital world and increased care responsibilities, this year has presented unparalleled challenges for us all. You can take action now to help others overcome these challenges.

So many of us are striving to keep our businesses afloat, our families protected, our communities safe. Imagine then what that means for a woman entrepreneur in a low or middle income country who, on top of this hardship, faces many additional barriers.

The Foundation and its supporters see and hear these women entrepreneurs. We will not let a global pandemic hold them back. By working together, this year we’ve been able to support women entrepreneurs around the world to adapt, innovate, overcome and—most importantly—persist.

We’ve seen first-hand time and again the huge successes and impact women entrepreneurs can have with the right support for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Our new video brings together Hillary Rodham Clinton, Olivia Colman, Indra Nooyi, Cherie Blair CBE QC, Sheryl Sandberg and many other powerful, inspiring women leaders from around the globe, who recognise how it is more vital than ever to enable women to get the tools, skills and confidence they need to keep their businesses going.

Together, we’re calling to action: support women entrepreneurs around the world so that they can persist – and so can those who depend on them.

All over the world women are still less likely to receive financing, are more likely to experience discriminatory laws that preclude them from business activity and face social and cultural pressures that hold them back from succeeding.

That’s why we need people like you to join our supporters and enable us to break these barriers for women. Find out how we’ve been doing just this in our recent blog:

Advancing women's entrepreneurship: more crucial than ever

“My future? When you come again, you will not meet me here. I will be an international business lady—because I have that big vision in me”

— Juliet Kathendu, HerVenture user, Kenya

We’ve put together a round-up of our recent work for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, showing why it’s more crucial than ever:

All funds raised will help us to keep providing support to women entrepreneurs through our HerVenture mobile app, entrepreneurships progammes and professional mentoring services. Our support has never been in more demand than now as women fight to stay afloat and protect their families, communities and economies from the pandemic’s effects. As such, donations to the Foundation have never been more impactful or important.

All of our work is made possible by the generosity of our donors, and every single donation we receive is truly transformational. If you share our vision for a better, more equal, more prosperous world, the best way you can support our vital work in this season of giving is by making a donation today. Thank you.

“Empowering women is one of the smartest investments we can make. That’s why I am delighted to support such a timely and vital campaign, and why I want to invite you to join me.”

— Hillary Rodham Clinton
