Working through a combined approach of programmes and advocacy, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women helps release the potential of women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries.

Through our work we support them to grow and start successful micro, small and medium businesses so that they can create better futures for themselves and their families, enable their communities to prosper, contribute to strong economies, and move the world in a whole new direction. Over the 12 years since the Foundation’s inception, we have directly supported over 160,000 women across more than 100 countries, and our ambitions continue to grow.

We’re looking for a skilled communications professional to join our workforce at an interesting, challenging, but extremely rewarding and exciting time as a Senior Communications Officer. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated individual with strong skills in writing, editing and proofreading, creating engaging communications materials, using social media and other digital platforms professionally, administration, and managing many competing priorities.

You’ll be an important member of the External Affairs team and work closely with our Programmes and Partnerships teams to co-ordinate and support the delivery of a rich, engaging communications plan which promotes our work to a wide range of stakeholders and influences for progress towards closing the gender gap in entrepreneurship.

This is a full time, permanent role at 35 hours per week, with core office hours being 10am to 4pm. We have some flexibility around working hours but this is reviewed case-by-case on an applications basis, at the discretion of the Senior Leadership Team. The Foundation’s workforce are currently all working from home and you will be too until such a time that we can safely return to our Central London office (W1), from where you’ll be based after then.

We have a lively, friendly, passionate and hard-working team, with an international and collaborative culture. This role has a salary of £25,375 per annum, and you’ll be entitled to 28 days of annual leave (which includes 3 that must be taken at Christmas), and other benefits.
