Challenge the Stereotypes: Breaking Through One of the Biggest Barriers Women in Low and Middle Income Countries Face to Entrepreneurship

Following our 2020 annual audit of women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries, published in March this year, and our April 2020 research into COVID-19’s immediate impacts on women entrepreneurs, we’re embarking on our newest piece of research: how gender stereotypes impact women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries.

We’d like to invite all women business owners in low and middle income countries to take part in our online survey, which forms the bulk of this research. The survey explores the ways gender stereotypes affect women’s entrepreneurship opportunities and experiences, across any industry or cultural background.

The collective results of this survey will be included in a report which will be shared with international policy makers including the UN and other global organisations, national governments, media and donors. The report will have clear policy recommendations in order to help change things for the better for women entrepreneurs. As such, your participation will be extremely valuable.

  • The survey should take you no longer than 20 minutes to complete.
  • It should be completed in English.
  • You can reply anonymously if you like, and  you will not be identifiable through your responses when we publish the report.
  • Your data and responses will be processed securely, in line with our Privacy Policy.

The deadline for responding to this survey is Tuesday 10th August 2021.
